This is the plan: take the train from Prague to Vienna and pick up a rental car. Then drive around in Austria and get a feel for the country outside the cities.
First night in Rust on the edge of Neusiedlersee, a lake south of Vienna. Then a longer drive through a famous beauty spot called Hallstätt, before spending two nights in St Wolfgang. Next to Durnstein, a wine area on the Danube, before returning to Vienna.
Railjet arriving in Prague. Fast and smooth.
