The 2024 program for using our syndicated Seawind 1160 'Antidote' includes two weeks in February, the whole month of June, and two weeks in November.
She had just come out of her annual refit in BoatWorks. We cleaned her up, and set off for a gentle potter around Moreton Bay.
February is the 'wet season' and there were plenty of showers. But there are some lovely anchorages, and it was pleasant to 'chill out' and relax.
We picked up the boat at BoatWorks, and motored up to Jumpinpin.

Then up the Canaipa Passage to Myora.
A fun trip involved taking the RIB round from Myora to the Little Ship Club and catching a bus to Point Lookout, where there is an attractive boardwalk around the cliffs.

Next through the Rous Channel up to the Little Sand Hills.
The Little Sand Hills are a lovely anchorage, tucked in in a sheltered spot in a South-easterly. Nice walks ashore among the dunes.

Whiting frenzy
Several times we were treated to a fish frenzy, with large numbers of small fish leaping out of the water, chasing tinier bait fish. Lots of them landed on our boat, on the foredeck trampoline, the aft steps and the cockpit and even a few jumped through the windows into the shower and onto the galley floor. We collected about thirty of them.
We think they are whiting.
